Simpsons Lawyer from 1995 Trial Reacts to OJ Simpson's Death

OJ Simpson Attorney: "His Legacy Will Forever Be Marred by the Tragedy"

David Cook, a lawyer who represented OJ Simpson in his infamous 1995 double murder trial, has expressed his sorrow upon hearing the news of Simpson's death from cancer.

In a statement, Cook said, "I am deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Simpson. Regardless of the circumstances that led to his notoriety, he was a human being who has now passed away. My condolences go out to his family and friends during this difficult time."

Cook acknowledged that Simpson's legacy will be forever intertwined with the tragedy that unfolded in 1994, when he was acquitted of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. However, Cook also emphasized that Simpson was more than just his infamous trial and should be remembered as a complex and flawed individual.

Cook, who has worked for more than a decade to collect Simpson's memorabilia, said, "Mr. Simpson was a talented athlete and entertainer who brought joy to many people. He made mistakes, as we all do, but it is important to remember that he was not defined solely by his darkest moments."
