It brings us great pleasure to welcome the Commonwealth family to the beautiful twin isles of Trinidad and Tobago. As a country that prides itself on its diverse culture, warm hospitality, and sporting prowess, we are honored to host the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games.
Following the postponement of the 2022 Games due to the global pandemic, Trinidad and Tobago were elected as the host of the 2023 edition at the Commonwealth Games Federation General Assembly in Birmingham, England.
Commonwealth Games Host City List
The 2022 Commonwealth Games were held in Birmingham, England, marking the third time the country has hosted the event, following 1934 and 2002. The 2026 Games are set to take place in Victoria, Australia.
Trinidad and Tobago will become the eighth Commonwealth country to host the Commonwealth Youth Games, joining Singapore, Scotland, Australia, India, Isle of Man, Samoa, and the Bahamas.
Final Sporting Action of Trinbago 2023
The final sporting action of the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games takes place on 10 August, with medals still to be decided in four sports across the two islands. We look forward to witnessing the exceptional performances of young athletes from around the Commonwealth and celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship and friendship that defines these Games.
